Recycling Electronics: A How-To
I feel like this space is a great opportunity to share the things that I learn and am super excited about, so I figured I would just start. :)
Did you know!? (Are you excited yet?) When you have a broken hair dryer, a broken straightener, old broken cell phone, etcetcetc.....you can so easily recycle it! I am so far from perfect with recycling, but I really, really try not to be wasteful whenever I can so I was super stoked to learn about this. Usually I find myself standing in the bedroom, holding all this broken stuff, completely confused about what to do and just stuffing it into a drawer somewhere because I don't want to be wasteful by throwing it away.
BUT, this amazing website, caretorecycle.com, gives a ton of information on recycling and makes such a seemingly complicated issue so simple. Just go here, put in your zip code, and BOOM. Done. There was over 5 located within walking distance of me. I literally just walked in to replace my Soda Stream canister (more info on that if you want it - let me know!) and left the hair straightener with the cashier. And just like the CareToRecycle site says, I felt great about it all day!
