Hello, my name is Heide.

The modeling industry, which I have been in for almost 20 years, can really be a lonely and confusing industry. I was lucky enough to have a strong support system always nearby, but that is often not the case. I learned that we need a safe space for models to share their fears/anxieties/concerns/experiences without fear of repercussions in their career, and that is much of what I aim for this space to be. I'm hopeful that models will be able to see themselves here and feel comfortable reaching out to me if they need someone to talk to or even someone to help point them in a positive direction.

A little about me: I have been modeling since the age of 13 and have been blessed with a wonderful career, but have also often experienced major “work draughts.” I understand very well what it feels like to not have any control over your own career and to be at the mercy of “The Industry’s” taste du jour. Because of these frustrations, I decided to go back to school and take back some control over my future. So, I’m now studying Psychology at Columbia University and hold a Research Assistant position in Professor Nim Tottenham’s Developmental Affective Neuroscience Lab.

I love to support ethical brands who are doing the hard work to change our world for the better, and hope that my sharing their work will inspire you to support them too. One of my favorite brands, who I have done both modeling and consulting work for, is Haitian-based Deux Mains Designs.

I have been a model at Muse NYC for over a decade and have worked with multiple non-profits such as English In Mind, REBUILD Globally, and NYCares.
